about

The music on the album is a celebration of Scottish fiddle music. The recording marks a snapshot of Karen's playing from 1996 to the present day, comprising 67 tunes on 22 tracks. Dance is at the very heart of Karen's playing. The rhythmic influence of Cape Breton music is evident, in addition to the athleticism associated with highland dance. Primarily a collection of Marches, Jigs, Strathspeys & Reels, there are also slow airs, hornpipes and pipe tunes. The recording includes 15 self-penned tunes.
